DBREFRESH ON MAXDB AIX

Hi experts,

I am Performing db refresh from prod to qty  i am following the SAP Note 129352 - Homogeneous system copy with MaxDB (SAP DB).

restore with initialization was taking long time and the recovery size was more than 600 GB now . how can it recover than much gb ?as i have inserted prod backup which was close to 150 GB.
