How do I take a Crystal Report and create a PDF with form fields?

Where I am working, we have a report, generated periodically by Crystal Reports and exported as a PDF, which is distributed via email.  My management wants to convert this PDF to a form with text fields, check boxes and maybe radio buttons through which we can receive information back from our "readers."  Does anyone have any ideas on how to get Crystal Reports to include a PDF form element on a report line?  I am using Visual Studio with Crystal Reports.

Thank you.

Hi Robert,

Crystal Reports does NOT export a report to 'fillable/editable PDF' format.

Have a look at this thread from sometime ago where a similar question was asked:

I would ask you to log this as an Enhancement Request at the Ideas Place.

One of the 3rd-party Crystal Reports desktop schedulers listed at http://kenhamady.com/bookmarks.html provides this functionality.  You can call it from your own application (it has a command line API).

Hi Ido, can you mention which third party product has the ability to create PDFs with form fields? I checked out that website link and I cannot see it.

Sorry, in order to keep the forum discussions free from biases, I'm refraining from naming the software product. If you contact Ken Hamady, he should be able to identify it for you.

No worries, I understand. Thanks for the quick response.
