Planning Package- Product interchangeability

Dear All,

I am having a requirement wherein at a particular location product A is replaced by both the products B and C.To meet this requirement , have defined the 1:n product interchangeability(not sure whether this has to be defined to meet this requirement). Have released the Interchageabilty group and assigned to the model.

Even after this definition , product substitution is not taking place at this particular location. Could somebody help me in regarding this issue.

Note:

1. After defining the 1:n relationship my expectation is that a common planning package number has to get created in  the product master A,B and C.which is not happening. Is this a reason for product substitution not happening at this factory location.

2. If i am defining a product - product substitution ( normal case) , product substitutuion is happening at this particular location.

Are you using forward or Full interchahgeability?

Try to use A > B and in second row define B > C

It will work.

My requirement is A---> B and A-->C at the same location and not A-->B and B-->C
