SCC4 change client from Test to Production/Customizing

Hi Experts,

We have one issue, user can run t-code 'FTXP' in production (client role=production) and development (client role=Customizing), but not able to run t-code in Test box (client role=Test). User getting ' client has status=not modifiable' error. If we change client role test to production in QA then it works.

Anyone can suggest if we change client role from test to production, is it safe?

Change the client role to Customizing . It should be ok for QA systems.

We cannot make client role to Production for QAS systems.

Hi Deepak,

Changing client role to 'customizing' doesn't work even in Test/QA system. Only clinet role 'production' allow us to run t-code 'FTXP' for modification.

Hi Sunny,

You may implement the solution as described in SAP  Note 356483 - Customizing: Current settings in the test system

If this works then good enough else you may need to open the client and do  the changes.
