Could some one point me in the right direction... ie give me steps or a webblog that explains how to configure SM59 in both the sender and receiver side for an RFC to RFC scenario?

Thank you

f) Gateway service is 3300+system number#.

h) Test the connection and remote logon.

SAP R/3

Thanks Guys...

Mario...

I am a little confused I thought for RFC's it should be TCP/IP?

The thing I am struggling with is Program ID and things like this... is the prgram ID random or does it refer to the rfc in the r3 system...

Also I though for Rfc's you dont need to configure anything on the XI Abap stack?

when u are connecting to sap system u can have the connection type as 3 which is ABAP systems. the prgram ID will be of ur choice but u need to register it first

Hi Ricardo,

in program id, give the server name of your target RFC system.

Ricardo,

frist create RFcadapter in XI and give PID any name and activate ur adapter . then goto R/3 create RFC in SM59 of TCP/IP and give the same PID created in XI including case.
