how system check the AVC @ sales order in third party sales ? How system knows , is stock sufficient accommodated @ vendor before PO created? goods are shipped from third party vendor but is it necessary to maintain stock @ plant level before PR generated (not third party stock) means can create third party item with out initial stock in order level . where system takes the quantity, price in customer invoice to billed.
sap,
Two actions those might help you (in your learning process):
1. Take the key words and read the theory associate with it.
Also if possible, the business examples associated with these key words
E.g.
AVC
Insufficient stock, creation of sales order
also insufficient stock, creation of delivery
Pricing
Condition records maintained
Button "Analysis" in the sales order, item level, Tab Conditions
2. Test in IDES, with different scenarios
2.a. Can you / user convert the item category from TAN to TAS?
If not, then what are the configuration to be setup, in order to make the above possible?

sap,
how system check the AVC @ sales order in third party sales ? How system knows , is stock sufficient accommodated @ vendor before PO created?
Ans: System can not check the availability of stock for 3rd party process.
E.g. the employee who creates the sales order calls (telephone call) the 3rd party vendor's warehouse staff / office staff to check if sufficient stock is available.
goods are shipped from third party vendor but is it necessary to maintain stock @ plant level before PR generated (not third party stock) means can create third party item with out initial stock in order level .
Ans: It is not required to maintain the stock in the company's plant.
The concept of 3rd party is to not manufacture self but to use a vendor for manufacturing of goods.
Does the system check for the availability of stock depends upon the Schedule line category, field Availability check.
In CS, the field Availability check is blank.
Schedule line category CS is used for 3rd party sale, in SAP standard.
where system takes the quantity, price in customer invoice to billed.
Ans: Quantity in the billing document, as explained by Vemuri.
Also look at Item category, field "Billing Relevance" for more information
Prices are maintained in condition records. The pricing is (most probably) independent of 3rd party sale or normal sale etc.
Pricing is the price fixed by the company & customer; and it is charged to the customer.
Pricing is coming from the condition technique (for all processes).

Hi,
There is no availability check at the Schedule line category CS ( third party Schedule line category)
as the PR is created on the Vendor to send the delivery
And in the item category TAS you can find the Billing relevance F which shows the Billing to the customer based on the Invoice quantity which is the MIRO from vendor to company
If you want to know how much quantity vendor has sent to customer, then you have to create a statistical shipping notification which is GR ( for statistical purpose
check expose CS schedule line category and TAS item category for better understanding

santosh

Hi,
Its not we to decide when and why we have to create third party sales. Its upto client to create third party sales. Generally, 3rd party sales will happen with the proper planning.
Most of the cases the third party item doesn't manufactured by In house. Most of the cases 3rd party materials and In house materials are being managed separately.
If incase, any In house material has to be done via third party sales then let user/client decide and change the item category at sales order level.
Also, Your Item category controls as to when and how the Invoice should be generated. Anyway, you will have price at SO and Billing level as usual.
Hope this answers your question.
