Forecast is not consumed by Sales order

Hi all,

We release forecast from DP to SNP every week. sales order comes from R/3 every day, and it has to consume forecast as per consumption mode. We are using consumption mode 2.

Now the issue is forecast is not getting consumed by sales order, have checked in product view Forecast tab. I cant even see the sales order data in Forecast tab.

Can anyone pls guide me if i missed some settings for consumption.

Dear Jagadeesh ,

Check for the following :

(a) APO-SPRO-GATP-Maintain Global Settings for Availability Check --> Import Customizing to be unticked so that customizing data is imported .

(b) Maintain Business Event - PP Checking Rule should be available

(c) Maintain Check Mode - 050 - this should be plotted in sapapo/mat1

(d) Maintain Check instructions - 050 and PP Checking Rule to match .

This could help you get consumption working .

Thanks for your reply.

I have done as u mentioned.

1. Import customizing is allowed.

2. Business event

3. Check mode

4. Checking instructions.

Still sales order is not getting consumed, pls tell anything has to be done.

Harish: Sales order is coming in Product view but is not coming in Forecast tab.

just a few more random checks i can think of -

Whats the Strategy Group in R/3 and does it consume?? "for eg 40 in R3 corresponds to 20 in APO and consumes forecast if your settings are standard

Check the Sales Order Type and Configuration for the strategy group too - does the Requirement Type in this this match the sales order type? what is the consumption mode? 1 is for consume planning with assembly

You cant see the sales orders at all? or is it just in the forecast tab?

Are you sure it is not stuck in the queue? is this for all products or only some?

Pl check requirements strategy for these products too . not all requirement strategies consume forecast
