Hi
We are on NW2004S SPS10, OS - WIN 2003
We have a 32 bit ADS server configured for Basic Authentication and it
worked just fine all these days. All of a sudden the Adobe Forms are not being displayed both in ABAP and in Java (used for displaying PCR forms in Portal). I performed all the troubleshooting steps mentioned in NOTE 944221, still cant go past this issue.
From our ECC system I am able to get a successful test for the ADS
connection in SM59. But when I do the test with FP_test_00 I get the error
<b>SOAP Runtime Exception: CSOAPExceptionTransport: HTTP Failed with
comunication failure.</b>
The test for http://<hostname><port#>//AdobeDocumentsService/Config,
also FAILED.
In the ADS server I checked and verified the ADSuser pasword they
all are set fine and the account is active. Also I have HTTP destination FP_ICF_DATA_<SID> defined.
Any suggestions to fix this??
Thanks
Regards
Michael
Hi Michael,
Were you able to solve the issue?
If ADS is on a different machine then, we also need to check the ADSUSER credentials on all the Systems - in your case ADS, ECC and Portal.
Please check:
1. Log on to the Visual Administrator.
2. On the Cluster tab, choose Server <x> → Services → Security Provider.
3. On the User Management tab, Choose the Tree tab in the right panel. In the User Tree, select ADSCallers, and then choose OK.
4. Choose the Tree tab in the left panel. Select ADSCallers → ADSUser.
5. In the Authentication area, select No password change required.
6. Restart the sap.com/tcwdpdfobject application from Services → Deploy ->Choose the button Application.
Also, set the ADSUSER's Security Policy as Technical User under General Information in http://<ServerName>:5XX00/useradmin.
Hope this helps!
Thanks and Regards,

Hello Michael,
have you checked in the Visual Administrator in the Usermanagement that the User ADSUSER is a technical user.
You have to set it as a technical user in the Visual Administrator.
please check.
