Dear Experts,
We are implementing SAP to one of our clients and go-live is very near. As we don't have enough time upload master data etc., into Production server and check everything again, we would like to copy SAP_ALL from Pre-Prodcution client to Production client. we have QAS & Pre-PRD clients are on same server .Can we do it and Is this the best practice?? is there any non-compliance in doing so??
I found one link http://scn.sap.com/thread/3258870 . but still looking for some inputs/ suggestions. Please help.
Thank you in advance,
Phani.
Hi Phani,
It is not recommended to copy from pre-production to production....It is better to upload the master data directly to production...
If you still insists, then please check with your ABAP team whether any client specific settings are done in your production system which could be overwritten from prre-production. After doing the local client copy from pre-prod to prod, then the settings of pre-prod will be in prod...
Please check with your functional consultants and development team on this before your proceed.
If nothing , then you can go ahead.
BUT STILL IT IS HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED TO COPY PRE-PRODUCTION TO PRODUCTION...
Thanks and Regards,
Vimal
