Hello SAPGurus,
I am facing a strange issue where when I click on the UME link or SAP Netweaver Administrator link on the Java portal then it shows a blank screen without any error.
J2EE engine is running successfully. Please suggest.

Hi Abhishek,
Could you please open the direct link to UME and NWA and check?
UME: http://qerossm:50000/useradmin
You said,
>4. No the issue doesnt exist with other system
do you mean, like opening the link in client systems(ex.WinXP)? If yes, then something fishy with your web browser.
Also could you please attach the below logs after opening the links, from work directory?
1. dev_jcontrol
2. dev_server0
3. dev_icm
4. dev_dispatcher
Again have you tried to restart the J2EE Engine using SMICM?
Regards,
Rajkumar
Hello Raj,
I have completed the EHP1 update on SOLMAN7.0 Java stack successfully. I guess the reason why I was not able to see the login screen was the ongoing ehp1 activity on Java. There were some of the software components which were installed and some were not. After I completed the activity the portals are working fine.

Hello Jacob,
The deployment error on the SDM was resolved after undeploying the application tc_smd* for the software component LM-SERVICE and unlocking the password for user J2EE_ADMIN from the Visual Admin. For the portal not getting diplayed it was the ongoing EHP1 activity which hanged in between. I have mentioned this in my correct answer.

Hello Abishek,
Which SAP Portal Version are u using?
Was it working previosuly ?
Which IE version are u using?
Solution
1)Try in a different browser.
2)Try Clearing cache of your browser
3)Cna you check if the issue exist in another system
4)Hope you have got enough rights to see the user administration
I feel it is a browser rendering issue.
Kind Regards,
Jacob

Jacob thanks for your participation. I want to inform you that
1. The portal http://qerossm:50000/index.html is working fine but the link UME and NWA inside this is not
working.
2. It was working earlier now when I click on to the link then it just throws a blank screen.
3. I tried to clear the cache but no use.
4. No the issue doesnt exist with other system.
5. Yes I do have all rights.
Note:- It is to inform you that currently I am trying to update the Java stack with the help of SDM I have successfully done the same on the ABAP stack. There was a error after 43% of the deployment. The error suggest some credentials issue for the J2EE_ENGINE. I did change the password on ABAP UME(SU01) and also through config tool. Please suggest.

This could be happening because you are not using the FQDN.
Always use the FQDN when using a Java engine.

Juan, I guess the password is getting locked for J2EE_ADMIN, but I am able to login to SAP SYSTEM with J2EE_ADMIN, I think I should check the JAVA UME but that is not working as I said. After going into it I can unlock the password and then the SDM should work smoothly. This is what I think. I may be wrong. Please suggest.

No not all. Neither UME nor NWA on the portal is working. Just for a try I am trying to open the link of System Info that also asks for J2EE_ADMIN access when I put it with the password it doesn't open. But how come when I use J2EE_ADMIN access to login into the ABAP system it works. Both are moving in the opposite direction I am confused. Please suggest.
