OCI Catalog - Shopping Cart

Hi Experts,

I will very soon begin to configure my SRM system to allow users to punch out vendor catalogues (OCI) when creating a shopping cart. Yet, there is a question I would like to ask you - if the catalog is retrieved from a vendor over the Internet what is exactly establishing the communication to the vendor catalog? Is it the user's browser or the SRM web application server that actually needs to be able to reach the vendor's catalog?

Hello Ricardo,

The punch-out catalog will transfer the items to SRM via OCI interface, how ever this happens at the session time and the transfer happens from web browser to SAP WAS.
