java engine password need to maintained

Hello SAPGurus,

I am bit confused about the list of areas where the J2EE engine password need to be changed. Following are the areas where I know the password can be changed or maintained.

1. Config tool->SecureStore->admin/password/SID

2. ABAP UME (SU01)

3. JAVA User Management through SAP Netweaver Web Application Server(Java Portal)

Please let me know if I should maintain the J2EE_ADMIN password for the Java engine somewhere else.

Regards,

Because you mentioned the user is J2EE_ADMIN this is a ABAP+JAVA system, where the ABAP system is used as the UME.

So you only need steps 1 and 2, step 3 is not required as the user is already mainteined in SU01.

Hello All,

Besides above interaction following are the clear cut areas where J2EE_ADMIN password has to be maintained

    1. Config tool->SecureStore->admin/password/SID

    2. ABAP UME (SU01)

    3. Visual Admin->Cluster->SID->Server 0 0_***->Services->Security Provider->User Management- >

        Search    for J2EE_ADMIN->Put the contents in edit mode->  Change password.
