Former Member

Hi All,

I am not in BAsis team even I don't have basis team for now but I have to configure this ADS to work on Adobe Interactive Form, so please help me on this.

While I am configure the ADS service through http://<host>:<port>/nwa -> configuration I got the error in attachement called 'ADS Installation Error'.

Then I checked the link for ADS http://<host>:<port>/AdobeDocumentServices/config? but it shows 404 error.

And I checked through linux commend but config file is not found in AdobeDocumentServices directory and also credential directory is empty. I do not know how to get this credentials and those config file.

While I am trying to activate the Adobe form in SFP tcode i got the error in attachment called 'Adobe Form Error'

Attachement 'ADS Error' is in RCF Destination called ADS.

Other that I configured and got success status in ADS Data Supplier, RFC Destination SAPSLDAPI, RFC Destination SLD_UC, ICM Monitor, SLD Connection test through SLDAPICUST.

System : Windows 7

Server : Ubuntu 10.10

Netweaver version 7.0

Hostname : nplhost

Port : 54200

System ID : NPL

Instance Number : 42

Thanks,

Suresh

Hello,

You can check in Visual Admin-> Server -> Services -> HTTP Provider tab Runtime -> Virtual

Hosts -> Aplication Aliases and see if the Aplication Alias "AdobeDocumentServices/Config " was unchecked. If so then check it and test again.

Hello,

It's seems the diplay variable is not set, I suggest you look up configuration of X Window System.

Please check if you can get xclock running, the problem isn't coming from sap code.

So you need to confirm if xclock is working (just enter the command xclock) also make sure the display env variable is set. eg:

setenv DISPLAY <IP Address>:0.0
TO see the variable value:
Echo $DISPLAY
DISPLAY=<ip address>:0.0; export DISPLAY

If you having trouble with this you will need to involve an OS expert to assist you.

Regards,

David

Hi Suresh,

Did you check the logs I mentioned earlier? The j2ee server is down and you should be able to get the info as to why the engine went down in the logs I mentioned.

Thanks and Best regards,

Hello Suresh,

I would suggest you to have a look at ADS configuration relevant SAP notes available which will have a complete flow on the steps to follow. There will also be required to install software such as Adobe graphics(not sure on exact names) in the system to support for working in Adobe forms in SAP.

Thanks!.

Hi Suresh,

Hope you are doing good.

Is the engine up and running? Check with JCMON if the server nodes are running:

http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/Basis/Monitoring+J2EE+Engine+with+JCmon

You should be able to connect to the visual admin remotely. What is the error?

Thank you and have a nice day :).

Hi Suresh,

It looks like the j2ee server is down. JCMON is a online tool, it won't work if the engine is down.

Please do a complete restart of the server (mention the exact time of the restart) and check the below files for more analysis:

/usr/sap/<SID>/work/ dev*, std* and jvm*

/usr/sap/<SID>/JC<nr>/j2ee/cluster/server0/logs/default trace (latest).

and

/usr/sap/<SID>/JC<nr>/j2ee/cluster/dispatcher/logs/default trace(latest)

You should be able to identify the error in the logs.

We remain at your disposal for any enquiry.

Have a nice day!

Thanks and Best regards,

Hemanth

Hi Hemanth,

Thanks a lot for your reply. I checked the log files of dispatcher and server0 and attahced here as a image. Please check that and let me know.

Dispatcher :

Server0 :

All those(dev*,std*,jvm*) files are available in /usr/sap/<SID>/<like DVEB*>/work/*.

I don't know what is that DVEB* directory is. Please let me know if you can.

And i checked the java by using some linux command like which java, java -version. Here I have attached the image of my java details. Please check that too.

Thanks,

Suresh

Unfortunately, this is not the exact log.

I would suggest that you raise a OSS customer message if possible (do let me know the number so that I can have a look), or save all the files I requested in some folder so that I can check.

Is ADSSAP SCA deployed fine on the server?

Please check the below notes first:

SAP Note Number 886572: ADS: Central Patch Note for SAP NetWeaver 7.0

HI Suresh,

please enable the Adobe document services from Config tool. Also  from information above above the ADS is not yet installed then why are you trying to check whether its up or not.

Please follow the following link to configure the ADS service.

Once its installed you can check it from transaction SICF->default_host ®  sap  ® bc ®  fp

See if the service is active.
