Hi,
i have activated storage location control for the putaway process and it is working fine with some extent. The following things are happening with out any issues.
1) Doing GR in virtual storage location and this storage location blank in TR
2) While creating Transfer order for the TR standard storage location considered by system and stock moved to Designated storage type in warehouse.
3) After that i am proceeding Posting change (at IM level) in LQ01 transaction for the quant, 311 posted in IM level.so that Stockwise fine with IM level and In WM level Negative quant in 902 got nullfied but postive quant still exist in 902 storage type.
Can you please help me where i am missing......
Thanks

Hi,
This is a fairly standard process and, there should be no stock in 902 once you have created material document with movement 311. Please check the bin status report LX03 with your warehouse no. and storage type as 902.
Even if you see the stock in 902 - check the corresponding bin no. It should be the no. of your purchase order. There might be some other stock in 902.
All the stock should be available in the standard storage location. This is only possible for stock of type unrestricted use.

Hi sushant,
Thanks for your reply. I checked stocks in LX03 positive quant not deleted instead of that it created negaive quant in 921- UML ZONE for the storage location.
System not pickingup the bin from 902 storage type instead of that it pickup from bin from OMLJ (311 mvmt type).
Thanks

Hi Muthuraman,
As you have seen there is no quant in 902 ... it implies that your procurement w.r.t std sloc is completed. The stock is lying in std sloc and there is no quant elsewhere in warehouse.
how did 921 come into picture? which WM movement type does it correspond to?
I think this is something different and not related to the above process. Please check the quant details and find out the reference material document.

Hi ,
Thanks for your reply …But please understood my issue..
The storage locations RX10 and DX10 in plant 0001 are assigned to warehouse number 001. Storage location DX10 is marked as standard storage location and for RX10 the indicator is set not copied into the transfer requirement.
I did a Goods receipt against a purchase order- 45001234 for XXX material for 10 pcs in RX10 storage location.
So now stock showing as :
902 45001234 10 pcs sloc – RX10
we converted TR into TO the standard storgae location DX10 taken as sloc and at the time of confirming Transfer order stock moved to destination storage type into warehouse.
So above action will create one negative quant in 902 storage type.
902 45001234 -10 pcs sloc – DX10
So now we have Two quants in 902 storage type for the above purchase order (+ve and -ve quant)
So when I am Trying to do posting change at IM level in LQ01 Transaction for above 902 quant.
For the above action 311 happened successfully from RX10 to DX10 at IM level for the above material.
So that Negative quant (902 entry) got nullified but positive quant still exist for 902 storage type instead of that above action created one negative stock entry in 921 UMLZONE.
So can you please address my issue where I am missing….is there anything I have to made specific change in for nullifying both quants.
Thanks

Hi Muthu,
I did the entire process as mentioned by you, and, when I do the LQ01 the stock moves to destination storage type and there is no quant left in 902.
I think it is happening in your case because you must have maintained the Receiving Plant in the config of "Storage location control in WM" ( path - SPRO - LE - WM - Interfaces - IM - Define sloc control - 2nd setting). The system is determining receiving plant from there and is initiating stock transfer rather than transfer posting.
Are your 2 storage location managed in the same warehouse and same plant??
Please remove the receiving plant entry ( if you find there) and re do the cycle once again.
Secondly, if this doesn't work out then check if you have maintained the storage location reference for the combination of Plant & Storage location and if this sloc reference is influencing the warehouse movement type determination in the configurations.
Kind Regards,
Sushant
