SAP instance and oracle on same host

Hi all

I install SAP ERP 6.0 Central Instance and DB Oracle 11.2 on same host.

SID  and DBSID names are the same.

When i try strating backup i have SXPG_COMMAND_EXECUTE failed for BRBACKUP - Reason: program_start_error

In sm59 when i execute Connection test SAPXPG_DBDEST_A01

Goto SM59 and check RFC

SAPXPG_DBDEST_<DBHOSTNAME>

is working or not.

Note 446172 - SXPG_COMMAND_EXECUTE (program_start_error) in DB13

do you have an entry in the /etc/services

I try solutions from this note:

Add SAPDBHOST value in profile

Add gw/acl_mode "0" in profile

also check that SAPSERVICE(SID) is part of the administrator group

Hi,

Is this host name correct srv1.A01.domain.com .

If not, try to correct this and check.

As DB+CI are on same host no Gateway is required.
