What happened to Sybase?

Former Member

Suddenly the forums were returning 404 page not found, now they have reached their end of life (some warning this was going to happen might have been useful) - but where is the equivalent forum to

http://forums.sybase.com/nntp-archive/action/newsgroup/sybase.public.sqlanywhere.general

in the new scheme of things?  How about a link on the archived pages?

All of a sudden Sybase, the technologically advanced, customer orientated, organisation seems to have turned into another Microsoft 😞

Dave,

The newsgroups have been retired.  Notice of this was posted to all newsgroups earlier this year.

You can still access the archive here: http://nntp-archive.sybase.com/nntp-archive/action/product/list

For SQL Anywhere, there is a Q&A forum that you can reach at:

http://sqlanywhere-forum.sybase.com

Alternatively, you can post questions here in this forum.

This was probably more of a rhetorical question.

Sybase used to beat everything out there, hands down. Now I wonder if sales have the upper hand over technical excellence.
