Hello,
I got R3 system running on Windows XP system.
I got another canon printer which is locally connected
to this R3 system.
I have defined output device for this canon printer.
When i tried to print using this output device,
result is not getting printed in the printer.
How ever, when i checked the output request it says
"Printed correctly".
Here are the parameter settings for this op device:
Device Type: JPLIPS4:Canon LBP--xxxx LIPS4 Series
Access Method : C
Please let me know why the result pages is not getting printed.
Thx
Ram
Hi,
I recommend the access method <b>F: Printing on Front end Computer.</b>
Scenario :Normally in every company there will be lot of desktop printers.
it won't possible to configure all the desktop printers at SAP level.
Cause : the desktop printers may manufactured by different different manufacturers. you just imagine how many printer and drivers we need to configure.
So use access method F: Printing on Front end Computer
this method will trigger SAP LPD at operating system level on desktops.
SAP LPD will transfer the data and send to the Os level spool printer.
let me know if you have any queries.
Thanks,
Praveen.

Hello Praveen/Sunil,
Now, R3 front end brings up the saplpd program when i looked at the log in saplpd it says the job finished..but the printer did not print anything..
Do i need to startup any services at the windows OS level?
(I confirmed the printer is active and its working..bcoz i could print word doc).
Thanks,
Ram
