Configuration of inboundRA in NWA:After updating MaxReaderThreadCount parameter with 5 it is going into RED

Hi Folks

I need to configure IDOC adapter for AAE on PI 7.3. For this I have gone through these links on SCN:

http://scn.sap.com/people/william.li/blog/2011/05/04/configuring-pi-730-java-idoc-adapter

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73/helpdata/en/C2/91865252C84716B3B8BE394851C9C0/frameset.htm

The issue is that when I change the parameter value for MaxReaderThreadCount to 5 or any other value other than 0.then I saved the changes and press Refresh after that the inboundRA is changed to Red(Not Available) which looks like.

I tried to restart the PI server.

Please give an idea how to fix this issue

Regards

Raja

Hi Raja,

How did you solve this issue? I am having the same problem in our AAE 7.4 system.

Kind regards,

Hi All,

The RFC Destination XI_IDOC_DEFAULT_DESTINATION needs to work too with a correct userID and password. If it doesn't work, it can be the cause that the status of inboundRA goes to red after setting the MaxReaderThreadCount parameter to 5.

Hi,

Check if you've already created the Java RFC Destination XI_IDOC_DEFAULT_DESTINATION.

Create this destination in my AAE 7.4 system works for me.

Hi,

the error is usually displayed at the top of the page (the part which you did not show)

and in most cases it's self explanatory,

Hi Mavhal,

Thanks for your reply,

After selecting inboundRA, I tried to “Start Applications” in “More Actions” button and pressed “Start” or “Restart” button then I got the message on top of the page as

Application is starting asynchronously. To see the current state, choose "Refresh" in the status table”

It is displaying the status as “Failed to restart”

Is this mandatory to maintain the parameter MaxReaderThreadCount with value (Ex:5- 10), because if I maintain value as zero it is getting the status as “Started”.

Could you please assist me in this regard?
