SAINT can not finish the last step

Hi Experts,

I am trying to install gateway 2.0 in to my ECC.The release is 7.02 level 6, and I have updated SAP_BASIS to level 7.

Gateway have 6 packages:

SAPK-200AGINGWCORE

SAPK-200AGINIWBEP

SAPK-200AGINIWFND

SAPK-200AGINIWCBS

SAPK-200AGINIWDNT

SAPK-200AGINIWSCS

I am now in step6/6, but when I click finish to complete the installation, the transaction hangs until got a time limit error. I have tried to make the time out longer, but still not work. So I guess it is not a matter of time. Do you have any suggestion?

Hi,

Please check whether any tablespace is full

Secondly try to check whether you have atleast 3 Background work processes.

Finally try to run in background

Thanks for your reply.

Our system's data file have set to auto extend, and we do have free processes.

I think this is not the cause.

Hi Wayne,

Could you share logs for this update. When you click on finish button

1) Observe the log file which is update in /usr/sap/trans/log. Share those

2) Observe the database alert logs and share relevant information from those logs.

Actually, no log file is getting updated after click finish in the folder /usr/sap/trans/log

Could check this SAP Note 822379 - Known problems with Support Packages in SAP NW 7.0x AS ABAP

Section SAPKB70203 - SAPKB70211 (only on MS SQL Server)

Symptom: If SAP Note 1660078 is implemented, there are system problems after you import the Basis Support Packages. As a result, the import of the Support Package queue cannot be completed.

Solution: The problem is prevented if Support Package SAPKB70212 is included in the Support Package queue.

If this is not possible, you must deimplement SAP Note 1660078 again before the import of the Support Package queue.
