online backup fails with HP data protector Error: 53.

Hi Experts,

we are using HP's Data protector Manger omni backup tool to take regular/schedule backups yesterday, daily scheduled online backup was failed.

when we are trying to take the backup manually with omni backup manager again it was giving errors.

Even when we are trying to take backup manually with brtools it is giving errors.

Environment:

OS : Windows Server 2003 IA64 bit

Database: Oracle 10.2.0.2

SAP : ECC 6.0 with kernal 700 patch 221.

HP Data proctor version:

C:\Program Files\OmniBack\bin>omnicc -ver

HP Data Protector A.06.11: OMNICC, internal build DPWIN_00502, built on Friday,

March 25, 2011, 12:04 PM

Hi Rafique,

Could you check brbackup file exists in below location

\\oracleiap\saploc\IAP\D02\exe\brbackup.exe

Also check whether windows share saploc exists. If not create the same and provide permission to everyone. 

saploc should point to your SAP Executable directory.

Hi Deepak,

thanks for your very useful answer.

the above said sharing  does not exists,so i created  new sharing as saploc that was the problem,

which have been solved.
