Any advice on the pros & cons of realigning history? What potential scenarios warrant realignment of actual history vs. copying to corrected history only. An example would be that outlier correction, modifies corrected history rather than actual history.
Is it best to minimize realignment so that both the APO Infocube and BW Infocube match. Any advice on the pros & cons of realignment or best practices would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Hi,
Normally I would advise you to both realign BW cube and MPOS if the characteristic values that make your CVCs change, so both are aligned at all times.
If the CVC that holds your outlier correction changes, there may be recovery scenarios that end up with your correction in a CVC and your history in another, resulting in unpredictable planning. But may be there exist these situations, it is an interesting question. We just prefer always to be on the safe side.
