question about SLD, j2ee and solman

for the implementation aspects of solman 4.0, i.e. roadmaps, project planning, etc....do you need to have the j2ee and SLD configured for this? Currently my j2ee engine is hung. It never gets past the "starting application" part.

1|server0 |J2EE Server | 23028|Starting application

State of JControl : Some processes running

State inside MS : Some processes running

Thnx!!

Hello Drew,

For the implementation escenarios you don´t need to have the J2EE up.

For opening connections and maybe for Service Desk scenario you need to have the J2EE up and running.

If SLD is not running in SMSY ensure that the system defined has the entry Data source "system RFC"

For the Solman diagnostic of course you need the J2EE .

Check in the std_* log of work directory what is the problem with the J2EE,

you only need to look in most update files for "error" entry and search for the error

Best regards,

Dolores
