SAP RFC Error, Error RC -1, DETAIL: NiPGetHostByAddr3: '???' not found

Hi,

My RFC connection from Solman to Production is not working because of this Trusted RFC is also not working, EWA reports are also showing red flag. Although RFC from Solman to Dev is working fine.

Have checked, necessary ports are open in firewall. How can I solve this issue?

Hi Sachin,

It is showing the name of host which you have provided in RFC connection is not found.

Please check the target host name using hostname command at os level.

Please check the log of dev_rd for more information and paste here if you required more info related to error.

Hi Sachin,

Check the host file entries for solman whether Production server details are maintained or not.

Check whether you are able to ping the production server ip from Solman server.

In case there is a DNS server check entries for solman and production server are correctly maintained.
