Hi Samir,
Whenever we configure Alerts in PI system internally there are ABAP reports which gets executes to send ALERT emails .
Alert Framework executes on ABAP Stack.

Shaik,
The fixed recipients that you maintained in alert catagory is a list of all the users who should be sent out emails in case error.
This user list contain the email address of all the respective users.
For alert configuration set up we do Email server configuration using Tcode - SCOT , depending upon the the of email server being used.
This takes details of Node as SMTP, Mail host & port details & default domain.
Once the error occurs the email address is being picked up from Fixed recepient list maintained & sent out email using the configuration set up in SCOT>

Hi Shaik,
Yes there is an Alert Mechanism in PI which capture all the error information from the Adapter and Integration Engine OR AEX.
It will forward these error messages to the Fixed Receipents as per the rule you configure in RWB alert Configuration for a specified category.
Please see these link for more clarity:

Hi Samir,
Your query is not clear.
You are aware about alert configuration which enables PI to send alert mails to defined participants (Support team) in case of any error.
Other than this PI has a mail adapter which enables PI to send the data to someones mail box as an attachment or as content in the mail body. Is this what your are asking about??
Thanks
Anand

Hello Samir,
To enable PI in order to send the mails, you need to configure the SCOT on your PI system.
Please search through SDN and you will get all the details about SCOT, normally BASIS guy will help you in creating the SCOT configuration.
