Hi Experts,
We need your helpful information for the below request.
We are using SAP PI 7.3 SP0 in our landscape and for the inbound to SAP SRM scenario (Flat file to Proxy), we would like to know the optimum file size that can be processed successfully by SAP PI.
We are using SAP- SFTP channel at the sender side and ABAP proxy at the receiver side. These interfaces are scheduled in batch mode (not real time) and we are expecting a volume of around 15 MB file size (15MB is the file size before xml conversion). Please note that we have mapping/transformations to be done inside SAP PI before sending to SAP SRM, via ABAP proxy.
We appreciate your response in this regard
Thanks.

Hi Sreenivasulu,
You should consider that the optimal size of XML messages or flat files that is your case depend in the several things in the hardware intallation and the PI tunnig.
First, it's interesting to study how i can increase the system perfomance, you can read Baskar and Greg advices in this thread http://scn.sap.com/thread/3166945
In the other hand, the best way to measure what is the best file size for you system is using a bechmark. You can develop one for you own or to use a commercial one like SAP HP Loadrunner. Check this docmuent:
