Hello All,

We are  getting a new requirement where need to work on SAP MDM Web services..

Wana know..

1) What Exactly SAP MDM Web Services refers to?

2) What are Platforms we need to be aware to get into Web Services?

3) What are the uses of Web Services into SAP MDM?

4) How to use the same(please share if you have any docs)..

Hi Girsh,

SAP web service is triggered before data reaches MDM. This is used to generate a ID number for new record flowing into MDM from other systems.

Ex: Consider a material is entered in ECC system and sent to MDM via PI. Before material details update MDM , a special ID will be generated for individual record which acts as Unique ID for MDM. This in turn can be distributed across other systems as Unique ID.

In my project flow is as follows: ECC-->PI-->Webservice(triggered only for new records)--> MDM.
