Not able to release the Change for development and the systems in maintenance cycle are displayed incorrectly

Hello All

We have Implemented ChaRM in SolMan 7.1 SP6.

Have created the Project and activated Charm for one logical component and before creating the Maintenance cycle, we did a check in the project which showed all green.

In project and solution the systems are refered correctly meaning, Development is referred as Dev, Quality as QUA and production as production, But when we go to Maintenance cycle, the production system is referred to TEST system.

We are able to create a request for Change and go till the approval, when we try to change the status to release for development, it is throwing the below error and not letting us go further.

As per the below message, we have checked for the the MC phase, and it in Dev with release.

Project is in IN PROCESS state.

IBASE and Component details are correct.

Tried to put back to Validation and re tried for Development and this did not work.

Diagnosis

Change Documents cannot be generated.

System Response

The status is reset, the action is canceled.

Procedure

Your Change Request Document contains data which cannot be used for the generation of the follow-on change documents.

Please check the following possible errors:

The chosen project in project field of the 'Details' assignment block is a project without a maintenance cycle or the assigned maintenance cycle is in a status where the generation of Change Documents are not allowed. The generation of projects is for example not allowed if the project is in a final status.

If possible, change the project or choose a phase in the maintenance cycle which allows the generation of Change Documents. If this is not possible, this project cannot be used.

The 'Scope' assignment block contains scope items for with a chosen IBase which is not the IBase of the productive system in the one (or more) logical components assigned in the chosen project. This is only relevant for the change category 'Urgent Correction', 'Normal Correction' and 'Administrative Change'.

Choose the right IBase for the change category scope item.

If a change is not possible because the Change Request was approved and the fields are not edit able, set the Change Request to 'Validation'. Then the data can be changed and the Change Request can be approved again.

Pls give your inputs to solve this issue.

Bharathi,

Have you checked the managed system TMS .....also is the logical system has the same route as per remote TMS

Also, have you changed the phase(MC) to In development with Release

Make sure you have unlock the task list in your Solman project as well.

Hi Prakhar,

Thanks for your reply, The issue was resolved after the changes were done in SMSY--System roles.

earlier by mistake the role for production system was maintained as a test system which had the effect in maintenance cycle. Due to which it was not allowing to relase the change for Development.

Once the system role was chnaged, all the things were fixed.
