Log file location

Dear All,

After installation DB and CI on different server ,,i have restore the database ,but i can see in the new server log file is moving to the location...."F:\db2\PRD\sapdata4\DB2PRD\NODE0000\SQL00001\SQLOGDIR\" where as it should be F:\db2\PRD\log_dir\NODE0000\....now what to do how to change the location to E:\db2\PRD\log_dir\NODE0000\....

Please suggest

Hello,

The Path to log files is now set to

Path to log files = F:\db2\PRD\sapdata4\DB2PRD\NODE0000\SQL00001\SQLOGDIR\

This should be the correct setting as it's the default location. It's a subdirectory named SQLOGDIR under the directory created for the database.

If you really want to change the db2 default log files Path, you can modify the parameter NEWLOGPATH. The new setting does not become the value of logpath until both of the
following occur:


1, The database is in a consistent state, as indicated by the database_consistent parameter.
2, All applications are disconnected from the database.
