Our business owners are having a difficult time deciding what business functions are necessary now and future. So EHP6 does not get delayed I do not see any reason why we could not download all the required software by Technical Usage only. This way we would already have the business function installed - but not activated. I believe this thinking is reverse of (1) know which business functions to use and (2) install the correesponding technical usage.
Am I missing something by doing the reverse as I do not see a draw-back. We are only talking about HCM, FI, (maybe central apps to be safe) etc.. not Oil/Gas, Media, Utilities, etc - so the selction is not vast.
