Hi Experts,
I have the below requirement from client.
In automotive production there is a 2 weeks aging period before the goods being packed and the deployed to the relevant DC’s.
The goods are in stock during this period , but under quality inspection.
So we are looking for a solution to keep thee goods on quality inspection stock , with an expiring date flag that indicates when those goods will be ready to be packed.
Business wants to use QI stock with expiration date.
What needs to be done from a configuration point of view to have this acheived.
All your inputs will be very helpful
Regards
Pavan
There is no real QI expiration date.
What you can do is the following.
Create a new UD code (maybe something HOLD with a description of "QI Hold". Do not put any stock postings behind this UD.
Now, when the material passes QI but is going to be held, have the lab people edit the end date of the inspection lot, (can be accessed from the QA32 worklist screen), to the expected release date from QI hold. Do this FIRST. Then make the UD using the new HOLD UD code.
The lab should monitor the QI HOLD lots via QA32 work list on daily basis. You can create a variant for the work list that they can use to make it easier.
When lots hit with a QI HOLD Usage decision reach the end date, the user uses QA12 to change the UD from HOLD to your regular UD code that has an automatic stock posting behind it. Save it and the stock should move to unrestricted stock.

By using Batch cockpit(T.C:BMBC) u can see the QI stocks with Exp dates.
Or
Go for Z reports with Table & fileds for Batch Exp( MCH1-VFDAT and MCHA-VFDAT) & for Stocks use below tables: MARA,MAKT”,”MARD”,”MCHB”,”T001L”
You can prepare ur own Zreports by using SAP Quarry / Quick Viewer go through the below links:
