Hi All,
We are trying to effect a change in one of our notification type to have a new field that can be use to capture alarm unique number to aid our reporting requirements. I have look at the Overview of Notification types but didn't seem to get what I want.
Can anyone guide me on steps required to acieve this via configuration?

Activate Reference Documents in Screen Templates for Notification type configuration.
You can get Reference Document Number in notification, you can use that standard field to capture that unique number.

IMG - PM & CS - Maintenance & Service Processing - Maintenance & Service Notifications - Notification types - Set screen templates for Notification type
Based on your requirement in which view you want to have Reference Document field, assign the sub screen Reference Documents.
Here you can do for all kinds of notification types viz., Maintenance Notification, Quality Notification, etc.,
