Viewing PDF thumbnails instead of text with directory (not linkable)

Hello,

I'm working on SRM-MDM Catalog 3.00.08.00 and MDM version 7.1.08.285 Win64.

By business requirement we want to upload PDF documents into the PDF table, uploading them internally into the repository.

We don't want to store them externally and upload only the links to the external documents.

Our problem is that we are able to upload  the PDF into the PDF table and assign them to the corresponding materials into the Data Manager.

We can see the document, not the thumbnails but this is secondary problem.

The problem comes into the SRM-MDM Catalog, where we see the PDF field as a text field with the field route where it's stored and we cannot click for openning the document. Normally I'd like to see the thumbnail.

I've checked different threads on this forum but it seems the problem should be solved from SP08:

Does anyone knows how to solve the problem so we can store the PDF's internally into the repository and see the thumbnails into the Web Catalog?
