Configuration & other settings required for Sales Return inspection in QM

Can any one plz explain me about the Configuration & other setting required for sales return inspection in QM.  ??

Thanks for your reply...

I had used inspection type as 06 & mvt type as 655. 

After creating the Return Delivery, system automatically creating the Inspection Lot.  But at the same time stock not in Quality Stock. And we cannot do the PGR before RR & UD

So, i gone through QA32 & clear the lot by doing RR & UD.  After that i did the PGR , then it came to Quality inspection stock.

Can u correct me if am wrong with above procedure??

And plz let me know, which mvt type i hv to use with inspection type 05..?

There are 2 ways to do Inspection at Customer Return Process.

First way: (with 06 Inspection type)

1. Create Return Sales Order
2. Create Return Delivery
3. Inspection lot will be generated automatically (Non stock relevant)
4. Do RR & UD.
5. Post the stock to Unrestricted / Blocked stock as per your requirement (as per your movement type configuration)

Note: Here. stock movement to Unrestricted / Blocked can't be decided at process level as movement type has been assigned at configuration level. Here, stock will be posted generally in Blocked stock.

Movement type 651 - To returns stock

Movement type 653 - To Unrestricted stock

Movement type 655 - To Quality Stock

Movement type 657 - To Blocked Stock

Second way: (05 Inspection type)

1. Return Sales Order
2. Return Delivery
3. PGR
4. Inspection lot will be created with stock in Quality (Stock relevant)
5. Do RR & UD
6. Clear the stock as per your requirement (Unrestricted / Blocked)

Note: Here goods movement decision can be made at process level. You can decide whether to move the stock to Unrestricted or Blocked at the time of UD.

Hi,

Sales returns processing Procedure:

1. Create Return Sales order

2. Return delivery Save

3. QC Analysis

4. Post goods return

5. The goods receipt posting is updated in the appropriate stock (for ex., blocked stock returns, goods receipt blocked stock) for a defined storage location.

Customization Required:

1. Inspection at Shipping : Assign Delivery type of Return order to Inspection type 06.

By doing this, Inspection lot creates automatically when return delivery save.

You can check the quality as per maintained in Inspection Plan.

I did as per ur description.  I have some doubt..  can u clear me??

Normally from production using inspection Type 04, quantity directly goes to Quality Inspection Stock.  So from there we have to do the RR & UD.  As per our requirement, we can post it to blocked or unrestricted etc. 

Same way, when i tried here with Return Delivery:  Following things are happened

1. Inspection type as 06, and movement type which i hv used as 655. 

And at the time of return delivery, lot has generated and but we cannot see this lot quantity in Quality Inspection Stock.  Can u tell me why???

After doing the RR & UD with QA32 only, we do the PGR...

Rahul,

I am having one more doubt.  After doing the RR & UD for Return delivery, we need to do the PGR.  But i cannot move the Goods to anyother stock. 

Quantity posting tab is not available in UD screen,  So still stocks are in Quality Inspection stock.  How we can move to blocked stock or somewhere??

Can u clear me this also??

Hi,

Insp type 06 is non stock relevant. there you can do only RR & UD.

So, if you want to do stock posting then you can use 05 insp type insted of 06 against return order type.
