Hello Seba,
Start the database manually through SQL.
Eg: for starting oracle database
Sqlplus '/ as sysdba'
startup
Startup = command will start the database.
Shutdown = command will shutdown your database
Please paste the error that you receive while starting the database manually.
Regards,
Ammey Kesarkar
Hello Ammey Kesarkar,
Please read the error log file he is using MaxDB not ORACLE.
to start MaxDB from oslevel, you should login as sqdadm and start database using following command
$ dbmcli -d <SID> -u DBM,DBM db_state # check the state of the database
$ dbmcli -d <SID> -u DBM,DBM db_offline # stop the database
$ dbmcli -d <SID> -u DBM,DBM db_online # bring the database back up
Cheers,
-Sunil

hello
i tried those command with all the users.I've got three users :
sdb -maxdb software owner
nw4adm -system administrator
sqdnw4 -sap db administrator
dbmcli command is known only for users nw4adm and sqdnw4 but i get the same message :
Error!Connection failed to node (local) for database NW$:ERR_USRFAIL:user authorization failed
hello
sorry for the late answer,i had trouble logging in this site.I have no user control but i managed to make it start finally.I think the problem was that i had too less mamory available for the application.I run the sap netweaver in a virtual machine and i had only 400 mb ram available for it.Now i have 600 mb ram and as i can see it works pretty ok.
Thanks for the help to all of you
