Hi,
Can anyone share your experience with DBTABLOG retention and audit requirement in BW system? What is the significance of having table logging turned on in a reporting system
Thanks
Pankaj
Hi Pankaj,
As you know, DBTABLOG has change records in the system and the retention period is depend on the company policy. You can find same entries of Change document of DBTABLOG in CDPOS and CDHDR table.
We delete the documents of CDPOS , CDHDR in DBTABLOG (as no need to keeping same entries in two different tables).
Thanks,
Arjun

There is no strait answer to this, the retention period depends ultimately on your company data retention policies rather than a general thumb rule.
In anycase the best advice I can give you is that if DBTABLOG is becoming an issue you can always archive the table change logs.
