PI In/Out of DMZ

Hello All,

Our requirement is transfering files (no mapping transformation) - B2B only file transfers.

What are the pros and cons of installing PI in / Out of DMZ please and SAP recommendation for simple file transfers( some confidential data though(banks, Invoices etc)?

It is recommended to install an additional adapter engine (called de-central adapter engine) in the DMZ for such requirements.

Hi Paul,

As far as I know SAP recommends PI inside the DMZ (AAE& ABAP stack), and another adapter engine (de-AAE) or a PCK (partner connectivity kit) outside.
