Do functional consultants write test scripts,and where we use test scripts

Do functional consultants use CATT tool in SAP?</b>

Test Scripts we will prepare in development, upgrade, roll out projects to introduce how we mapped their processes in SAP. It will give knowlege to process owner regarding,

1. Master data used in that process

2. organizational data used

3. transaction codes and paths

4. input data used in that process

5. expected result

6. owner and tester of test script

CATT is used for testing these transactions and to do Mass data uploads,

Now ECATT is advanced tool we are using for testing

Hi,

Genrally we use manual testing.

To upload data from legacy system to SAP we use different tools like LSMW and SECATT.

I hope you are familier with LSMW 14 steps procedure.

Hi,

Test script's are prepared by functional consultant before golive. Test scripts are used to check the system performance.

CATT is older version tool.

Functional consultants are use SECATT tool. To upload the date from legacy system to SAP. and Testing purpose.
