Adding a new EAN category

Hi ,

Apart from SAP standard EAN categories already configured in the system , is it ok to create our own customised EAN categories.

Trying to understand the implication of introduction of customised EAN catogries.

Kindly let me know if there is any important point or implication in adding a new EAN category.

If you want to track and internal purpose then  Your Own EAN  categoris configured .You can create there is no problem.

The path to create the EAN Categories (Table TNTP) is as mentioned below

SPRO > LOGISTICS GENERAL > MATERIAL MASTER > SETTINGS FOR KEY FIELDS > INTERNATIONAL ARTICLE NUMBER (EANs) > DEFINE ATTRIBUTES OF GTINs
