Hide characteristics display in product view

Hi,

We have many characteristics assigned to materials and we see all of them in product view characteristic display.

we want some of the characteristics to be hidden and for rest of characteristics display should be in particular order.

1. Is there any way we can hide characteristics in order to not to be displayed in product view characteristic view?

2. Also how to re shuffle the order of characteristic display in product view?

Thanks in advance,

Krish

Hi Krish,

You can use t.code CL02 to change your class which was assigned to your location product master (location product master settings - classification tab).

In the class maintenance screen, navigate to Char (characteristics tab) and perform the following tasks.

1. For the characteristics that are to be hidden, unset the 'Display Relevant' flag (2nd check box from last). This allows you to hide the characteristics selectively in spite of their settings allow them to be displayed. If a given characteristic is to be hidden globally, then use t.code CT04 to set flag for the check box 'No Display'.

2. To change the order of display, you need to move the characteristics within the class maintenance screen (use the 3 button from the left at the bottom of the screen).

Please note that you can perform these changes within ECC as well and CIF them to APO. If performed only in APO, the changes might be lost when CIF transfer takes place (usually classes and characteristics CIF transfer is very rare).

Thanks,

Hi Rajesh,

Thanks for your reply on this.

I followed the points mentioned in your reply, but unfortunately characteristics are not hiding in product view.

even order of display also not effected in product view display.

I see theese changes are effecting only in classification view of product master but not in product view display.

Any other thoughts?

Regards,

Krish
