Principal Propagation - Received HTTP response code 401 : Unauthorized

Hi Experts,

I am trying to implement Principal Propagation and my scenario is SOAP - PI - RFC (Sync)

I have done necessary configurations by refering (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi711/helpdata/en/48/a9bbb97e28674be10000000a421937/frameset.htm)

Also, I have enabled principal propagation for in SAPNWA -> Configuration management -> Infrasctructure -> Java System Properties -> Services ->principalPropagation set to "TRUE".

Now, when I try and send request using SOAP UI requests don't enter in PI and I get this error in Sender SOAP communication channel.

Error3/21/13 12:29:28 AM com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: Received HTTP response code 401 : Unauthorized

but when I uncheck principal propagation in Sender and receiver agreements then interfaces executes without any errors.

Please provide your valuable inputs as to what is it that I am missing.

I think there is some specific setting that needs to be done for SOAP adapter which I think I have missed.

Hi Rupendra,

Are you using XI 3.0 protocol in the SOAP adapter?

In the Note 856597 - FAQ: XI 3.0 / PI 7.0/7.1/7.3 SOAP Adapter points that the principal propagation. is not supported with the XI 3.0 protocol in SOAP adapter.

Regards.

Yes, I have already gone thru that link. I have generated a new certificate also but my question is just by re-generating a new certificate will serve the purpose?

But, I have implemented this and still facing this issue.
