A few cents,
As Sunil Mavachee notices above, you should check all the data types between receiver PI and the RFC inside the ECC (there are important the dates, integers, currency, table parameters). Also, you should assure the receiver message payload could be validated for the receiver.
Finally, you could retrieve more log information as Sarvesh Singh says in this thread http://scn.sap.com/thread/1664030
