Hi,

may trivial, but i didnt find it out: Can somebody explain me, how to watch threads (with that binocular icon) threads in the forum but getting NO mails? Ok, one solution would be, to put a wrong mail address in the profile, but is there a better way?

Regards,

Udo

Udo,

Not sure I followed this

XI seems to be easier to figur eout at times I guess . One way ofcourse, you can use RSS readers to watch the forums threads you want.

Internet Explorer 7.0 contains an RSS reader as well.

But I have not seen the possibility to you this for forum questions. I use it for blogs only.

Stefan,

IE 7.0 doesnt work with my XI 3.0 on Sp 14 and so I have not upgraded my IE to 7.0 .But thanks for letting me know that IE 7.0 by default has the RSS readers.

Sorry, I did not think about this.

In my company's PC I have installed IE 6.0.

At home I have IE 7.0.

Go to Your Control Panel

and there go to Your watches,

and uncheck Email ALL option.

Hi Sreeramoju,

yes, i can do that, but only explicit for every thread. So if i post to any thread - and i'm posting a lot - i have to unmark that check box. Actually I would like to cancle emails at all.

Udo

I cancelled the automatic watch of threads, which I reply to.

When I am interested in a topic, I set the watch in order to receive mails.

Stefan
