Using AEX as a Decentral Adapter Engine

Hi PI techies,

I am looking for your suggestions on key challenges while implementing AEX(PI 7.3) in a distributed model for my client where we have a Global instance of SAP PI(Dual Stack) at Finland and wish to install AEX as decentral Adapter engine on other multiple sites like Saudi, Asia Pacific, America etc.

Firstly guide me if this is feasible?

Secondly, confirm that we will not be needing extra license for using decentral adapter engine at multiple sites.

Thirdly,what will be the key challenges to implement this.?

Fourth, comment on Total Cost of Ownership for this implementation.

Fifth,our client wants to know whether AEX is better or using open source ESB tool?

I will add few more queries for this in some time.
