work instruction - how to influence displayed size

Hello,

we are looking for a way to influence the size and position of a work instruction opened via POD in ME 6.0, e.g.

- define in which part of the screen the window for displaying WI opens

- define the size of this window

- define the zoom of the displayed pdf or Word WI

Can anyone help?

Hi Ulrike,

For the first question, please, check out Layout tab in POD Maintenance and where WI_LIST_DISPLAY activity is defined.

I believe you will need cusomizations for the last 2 points.

Hi Ulrike,

Standard implementation of POD does not provide capability of defining size of the POD panels and zoom of the documents but you might overcome this by playing with Layout Type of the POD and assigning WI500 (which actually displays the WI) to different panles, and please consider making your WI show in the new window (option in the WI Maintenance).

As soon as your WIs are actually PDF and DOCX files, you can emulate zoom by means of font size and size of your pictures in the documents.

If none of these workarounds suits you, you will definitely need a customization.
