Why "www54" instead "www" in some links?

Hi SCN !

I've been reading some new spaces and their descriptions and I watched that some links were broken.

For example, in SAP for Media we've got:

Official SAP and Media homepage. Find SAP for Wholesale Distribution user resources including best practices, presentations, blogs, forums, videos, elearning, wikis, trainings, how-to, processes, and more information relevant for implementation & operation.

Explore SAP for Media on SAP.com.

The "Explore SAP for Media..." link to: http://www.sap.com/industries/media.epx and if u clic it, you'll go to "errorpage.epx?error=404" (error404 page).

But...

In others spaces, u've got a "www54.sap.com/...." for example: 's Space:

SAP Sustainability Solutions enable organizations to develop sustainable business practices both in their internal operations and as part of their product development. Use of resources, workforce management, sustainable consumption and operational risk management are some of the issues addressed with these Sustainability solutions.

Explore Sustainability on SAP.com.

Here, the "Explore Sustainability..." link to: http://www.sap.com/lines-of-business/sustainability/index.epx (www instead www54 too) but when you clic it, you will go to: http://www54.sap.com/lob/sustainability.html

This is very very weird. Is it about domain redirect issue?

Only Solutions, Line of Business and Industries has got this new "" thing? (Is it a subdomain?)

Well, please excuse my ignorance about this.

Regards,

Oswald

Hi Osvaldo,

SCN isn't the only SAP site that has been transformed in the past year.  SAP.com is also being upgraded and the different sub-domains still points to the same site.  www54... is only temporary until the upgrade and changes are complete in a few months.

I've correct the link on (http://www54.sap.com/industries/media.html)

If you find any other broken URLs, please let us know so that we can update them.

Thanks!

Jason

Thanks for the info Jason!

I'll let you know if I find more broken links.

It would be nice to know what new things are happening.

I mean, some article that shows this new "upgrades and changes" from entire SAP web-site.

Regards and thanks again.

Don't be sorry! I really appreciate this.  I've use a program to check all the URL and found a few more to update.

Thanks!
