Internal WM Movements before Usage Decision

Hi,

We have an issue where materials are stuck in 922 storage type after usage decision is performed.

Stepping through our current process:

1) Goods Receipt is performed

2) Inventory is moved to the storage type Q to pull samples. Sometimes, due to floor space, the inventory will be put away until Q is ready to pull the samples.

3) Q pulls sample using movement 943 with t-code LT10

4) the rest of the inventory is put away

5) after all testing is completed, user performs UD for the whole quantity as us-restricted.

6) then user performs MB1A to record samples

Now since the materials were scrapped (943) before UD, system is unable to find the stock and it is open in 922.

We provided a solution to maintain scrapped quanitites while doing UD, but they r not supposed to do it as per their authorities.

is there any other method to handle this problem.

922 indicates that the movement has PCN active. You need to check open PCNs (TCODE : LU04) for this material and batch combination. Close these PCNs and then compare your stock. I think it will work then.

The PCNs must be open for the scrapped quantities.

Hi Mathew,

I do not understand how UD for complete quantity can be done when a certain quantity has been scrapped for sampling purpose.

During usage decision they can only post for the quantity that is available (GR qty - scrapped qty) to become unrestricted.

It is also confusing why 943 (scrapping is done before UD) and MB1A is used after UD for the sampling.

Pls clarify as the process mentioned by you is not so clear.
