Hi,

  Please try as follows.

1.Download the SAP Download Manager Java Archive from the SAP Software Download Center.

2.Unzip the file and copy install.jar to any folder on your server (Note: you can delete install.jar after the installation is complete).

3.Open a shell ("command prompt") and change directory (type: cd 'the directory name') to the directory in which the install.jar was copied.

4.At the prompt, type: java -jar install.jar.

5.Follow the installation wizard steps.

6.After the install completes, to launch SAP Download Manager, change to the directory where you installed SAP Download Manager. Type the command: java -classpath DLManager.jar dlmanager.Application.

Or please follow the steps available in the following link.

Regards and Thanks for your help.

Hello,

it works fine for me too.

Is there any way to create a shortcut to launch DLManager.jar without open the shell command?

Hi everyone

Windows 8, Java 7.45

Im also expiriencing not being able to connect to Service Marketplace.

Download Manager tries to connect but fails. At the bottom of Download Manager window is the following error message: "The request failed: 404"

Anyone solved that one yet?

** UPDATE: The error only occured when trying to download BIP 4.1 SP2 installation files. Guess I don´t have authorisation to downloand them even though they are visible in Service Marketplace. I have no problem downloading BIP 4.1 SP1 installation files**

Hi,

Just download the "normal" download manager for Windows.

Before you install the .exe, first set the compatibility to Windows 7.

Everything should work fine then.

Hi

How and where to set compatibility to Windows 7? I am new to Windows 8.1 with very limited knowledge on it.

HI,

If you right mouse click on the install.exe you will see and option called something like "solve compatibility problem"

Click that, and you will get to choose on which former Windows version this install.exe worked.

Choose Windows 7 here.

Hope this helps,

Menno

I was trying to uninstall Download Manager and was getting the DLL error mentioned above.  Per Menno's suggestion, I ran the uninstall program with the compatibility option and it automatically chose the right settings which enabled the uninstall program to run. Thanks!

Post Windows 8.1 patch upgrade it is installed and working fine. Possibly it was not able to access Java VM for some reason earlier.

Anyway Thanks all of you for valuable suggestions.
