Hi All,

The client wants to sell certain products in KGS and BAGS

Example.

The business wants to sell Material A in say 50kg, 10kg and 5kg bags -say for example 5 50kg bags or 10 20kg bags or it can sell 10 kgs .instead of 1 10kg bag.

How to map the same in SAP?

Can someone please advise.

Hi,

One alternative is to use handling unit management. Here you can define how you want to pack your goods. See Handling units in the sap help for more details.

Hi Saurav,

I think you can either create 2 alternative units of measure: 10 kg bags and 20 kg bags. Or use batch-specific units of measure, if batch manageemnt is active for your product.

Please look at the following links: Batch-Specific Units of Measure, Entering
Alternative Units of Measure

Hi Maria,

Even I am thinking in the similar line. However,if i am not wrong system will not allow us to have same alternative UoM with different conversions. So, we have to have different UoM's.

Question to Saurav: Do you have any specific logic for KGS to BAGS ? Is this Static or Dynamic?

Regards, Sai Krishna.

No there is no specific logic .It is just that the material is exported in bulk as well as small quantities i.e. in kgs.

You can have 20 kg,50 kg or any weight in lkgs packed in bags.
