Trigger sms alerts for mobile from java stack

Hi,

We are working on SAP PI 7.31 java only stack.We have a requirement to send alerts through SMS/Pager.

Can you please provide some pointers for the same?

I know we can achieve this using dual stack by doing configurations on ABAP stack.But now sure about Java only stack.

Can you please help?

So far SAPConnect can be handy, i can see to achieve this or if any major transaction has to be done with Mobile Applications you might utilize REST.
