How to find Service number in Message Server & Dispatcher

Hai,

I'm doubt with the following terms.

For connecting to a logon using the message server (Group Logon)

/M/<machine where message server running>/S/<service number used by the message server>/G/<case sensitive name of logon group to connect to>

Ex: System Number = 00, Service Number = 3600/tcp.

How to find Service number in Message Server & Dispatcher

Hi ,

You can check dev_ms more it and from R3 use tcode smms.

txcode smms will show you message server service no.

txcode sm51 -> Click on 'Choose Detail' button in the tool bar. The second last field shows the Port no. for the dispatcher.

Hi Tamizharasan,

If you are using Windows machine, then the service file will be present in

"C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc"

File name: services

Hi Ramizharasan,

The Service number is the gateway service number. As your system number is 00, relevant gateway port is 3300. Hence the required service is sapgw00.
